No-Show and Cancellation Policy

Thank you for trusting Dr. Burke with your medical care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible.

We ask that you cancel no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

Please review our Appointment/No-Show Policy.

To be considered a no-show, you must have missed your appointment, without cancelling in advance, or arrived more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. If you miss a total of four scheduled appointments within a given year, you may be formally dismissed from your doctor’s office.

No Show Policy for Medical Private Physician Practice

At our office, we are committed to providing quality care to all our patients. To ensure that we can effectively manage our schedule and accommodate the needs of all patients, we have implemented the following policy regarding missed appointments:

1. Appointment Confirmation: Patients are responsible for confirming their appointments in advance. We may reach out to remind patients of their upcoming appointments via phone call, text message, or email.

2. Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another patient who may be in need of care.

3. No Show Policy: A “no show” is defined as missing an appointment without providing advance notice or arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notification. If you fail to show up for your appointment without proper notice, it may be considered a “no show.”

4. No Show Fee: In the event of a “no show,” a fee may be charged to your account. This fee helps offset the cost of the missed appointment and the time reserved for your care that could have been allocated to another patient. The amount of the fee will be determined by Dr. Burke and outlined in our fee schedule.

5. Repeat Offenders: Patients who repeatedly miss appointments or fail to provide sufficient notice of cancellation may be subject to further action, including dismissal from the practice.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and exceptions to this policy may be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Dr. Burke.

However, we encourage patients to prioritize their appointments and communicate with us promptly if they need to make changes to their scheduled visits.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns about our no-show policy, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
