The practice of Dr. Gerald V. Burke is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and staff concerning COVID-19. We are continuing to respond to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Public Health from each state.
Your safety and care is our utmost concern
To ensure a safe environment for our patients, we are taking the following precautions.
What You Can Expect from Us:
- A clean office that includes cleaning of exams rooms between each patient visit, along with frequent disinfecting of our welcome area, bathroom and frequently touched surfaces.
- Patient Screening. We will continue to screen all patients as they enter the office with our COVID-19 screening questions.
- Assurance that our staff has also been screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
What patients should do:
Bring a Mask
Currently, our office does not require masks and their use is up to the patient. However, per recent CDC changes regarding masking, there are certain times and places that masks may still be beneficial.
Some indications of when you should always wear a mask include:
- If you live in a community where transmission rates are high.
- If you have traveled (within the past 30 days) internationally or to any states where COVID-19 is currently very active.
- If you had a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection in the past 10 days.
- If you were exposed or in close contact to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
- If you live or work in a healthcare facility experiencing an outbreak of COVID-19
Stay home if you are unwell
If you or a member of your household are experiencing fever, cough, cold, or shortness of breath, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, Please call us to reschedule appointment.
